Event details that create a lasting impression.

We believe the most meaningful gatherings are shaped by thoughtful details, yet many hosts don't have the time or design direction to bring them to life.

While larger decor and logistics often take priority, the finer elements of a gathering are frequently approached generically or left until the end. And yet, these are the touches that quietly define how a celebration feels.

  1. Inquiry

A brief conversation to understand your event, timeline and overall vision. You don't need every element figured out; we help you choose the details that will elevate your gathering.

  2. Concept discussion

We talk through the event type, date and timeline, guest count, theme or inspiration, and which details will best enhance your event.

  3. Quote and booking

A custom quote outlining the scope, timing and investment. Once it's approved, your project is officially booked.

  4. Design

A cohesive design direction for your event, applied across your selected hosting details, DIY moments or guest gifting. You receive proofs to review.

  5. Refinement

One round of refinements, so everything aligns with your vision.

  6. Final approval and production

Once the final design is approved, we create your event details.

  7. Pick up or delivery

Your details arrive ready to use, so you can focus on enjoying your celebration.

The smallest details often leave the biggest impression.

Neutral Hues Studio was born from a lifelong love of creating meaningful, beautiful things.

After years in marketing, most recently in Calgary's tourism and events industry, where every touchpoint is intentional, founder Gisela MacPhail began to notice how often that same level of care was missing from more personal celebrations.

“We don't just personalize items. We help design the experience.”

All questions
What kind of event details do you design?

The smaller design details that are often overlooked but make a lasting impact on how a gathering feels. Our work centres on three areas:

  • Personalized hosting edits: menus, signage, drink stations, tablescape accents and thoughtful hosting touches.
  • Custom favors: personalized guest gifting, packaged treats, keepsakes and elevated packaging.
  • Curated DIY moments: flower bars, bead bars, wish stations and other interactive guest experiences.

Together, these details create gatherings that feel elevated, cohesive and distinctly personal.

How far in advance should we start?

We recommend reaching out at least 4 to 8 weeks before your event, depending on the scope and level of customization. Availability varies, so if your event is sooner, you're always welcome to inquire.

What does pricing look like?

Pricing is flexible and based on the type and complexity of your project. After a first conversation, you receive a transparent quote that includes a creative fee, a production fee and a materials fee.

Do you work with event planners and vendors?

Yes, we love collaborating with event planners, photographers, venues, florists, bakers and balloon artists. Our role is to complement your existing team by handling the details in a calm, design-led way.
