What kind of event details do you design?
The smaller design details that are often overlooked but make a lasting impact on how a gathering feels. Our work centres on three areas:
- Personalized hosting edits: menus, signage, drink stations, tablescape accents and thoughtful hosting touches.
- Custom favors: personalized guest gifting, packaged treats, keepsakes and elevated packaging.
- Curated DIY moments: flower bars, bead bars, wish stations and other interactive guest experiences.
Together, these details create gatherings that feel elevated, cohesive and distinctly personal.
Do you serve clients outside Calgary?
At this time, Neutral Hues Studio is focused on Calgary and surrounding area events only.
How do I know which details are right for me?
You don't need to have everything figured out. Many clients come to us with a general idea, theme or colour direction. We work together to suggest and design the hosting details, DIY moments and guest gifts that best complement your event.
How far in advance should we start?
We recommend reaching out at least 4 to 8 weeks before your event, depending on the scope and level of customization. Availability varies, so if your event is sooner, you're always welcome to inquire.
How are you different from Etsy or a print shop?
Many custom gifting options sell individual products or ready-made templates. We take a design-led approach and help you:
- Clarify your event theme or aesthetic
- Decide which elements will have the most impact
- Create a cohesive look across every detail
- Avoid unnecessary or overwhelming choices

How does your design process work?
It's intentionally simple and collaborative: an inquiry and first conversation, a design direction and quote, design development and refinement, then production and delivery. Clear communication and a calm experience matter as much to us as the final result.
What does pricing look like?
Pricing is flexible and based on the type and complexity of your project. After a first conversation, you receive a transparent quote that includes a creative fee, a production fee and a materials fee.
Do you have a minimum spend?
Minimums may apply depending on the scope of the project. They let us give each event the time and attention it deserves. We share the specifics during the inquiry.
Do you work with event planners and vendors?
Yes, we love collaborating with event planners, photographers, venues, florists, bakers and balloon artists. Our role is to complement your existing team by handling the details in a calm, design-led way.
